Andrea Marie, born on Good Friday of 2005, was formed by six drinking buddies heavily influenced by 70's and 80's rock, hair Metal, NWOBHM, power metal, progressive metal, good music and alcohol.
Founder Kris Andrea Kho (guitars) anticipated a group that will stir away from the usual genre that the local metal scene offered and came up with a band that offers avant-garde melody epic lyrics accompanied by back-to-back guitar and keyboard solos.
Original band members Ivan Roxas (Vocals), Kris, Randy Marie Carragayan (guitars) and Richard (Guitars), Ryan (Bass) and Michael (Drums) joined together and formed more of a heavy metal group than power metal.
During the third quarter of 2005, the band had a major change in its line-up when Richard and Michael left the band due to personal problems and musical differences. Randy took over on bass and Ryan on drums.
With a depleted line-up, the band recruited Clark Palustre on November of 2005 as a new guitarist. His arrival gave the band a clearer direction regarding the choice of music of the band.
Finally, for more than a year of searching for a permanent keyboardist, a friend recommended "Dix" on May of 2006. His style of playing adds more atmosphere to the band's sound.
Ryan was replaced by Jason Gonzales on November 2006 and Dix was replaced by Max on December 2006. September 2007, with Max's sudden departure from the group, Karen Sy was immediately added to complete the line up.
