Soprano, Samantha du' Rennes is a versatile performer having appeared in many productions ranging from Opera to Music Theatre, and Jazz. Performances include: Queen Catherine in Nostradamus with Stage by Stage Productions, Cosette in Les Miserables with Altona City Theatre, and Emily, a role that was written for her, in The Lane by Adam Bianco.She has also worked with The Melbourne Choral Ensemble under the direction of the late John Dingle which included performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Melbourne Town Hall and Victorian Arts Centre, and in Symphony 1000 at Stadium Australia for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She recently was the soprano soloist for the CHIME Mozart and Jenkins Requiem at the BMW Edge Theatre at Federation Square.Samantha is a member of the Opera Australia Melbourne Chorus performing in their productions of Werther, Tosca and Double Bill of HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury with Anthony Warlow and Collette Mann. She performs with the newly founded Victorian Opera Company and recently appeared in their sell out performance "Puccini - The Sacred and Profane", at Hamer Hall in Melbourne. She also sings regularly with Melbourne Opera Company. Shows include Madame Butterfly and Cosi fan Tutte and she was the understudy for the role of Zerlina in their production of Don Giovanni.Samantha has appeared as a guest artist with the Austrian choir, Australian Music Events Opera in the Market, Community Carols by Candlelight, the Australian Welsh Choir and has co hosted the Maroondah City Council, Carols by Candlelight. She has also organized and performed in fundraising concerts for the Breast Cancer Foundation.In 2006 Samantha traveled to Europe where she performed at the Covent Garden Theatre Museum in London presenting new works written by Australian composers. Samantha most recently performed the role of Josephine with Babirra Theatre Company in their production of HMS Pinafore. She is currently in London and understudying the role of Donna Anna with Goodenough College in their production of Don Giovanni.
