...... Band Bio -- Power Of Chaos ......
Back in 2005, Lu, a metal music lover and singer from China, was studying at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He hit upon an idea of founding a band to perform just as he did once before in China.
Then in December 2005 at a Children of Bodom concert in Tilburg, Lu met Jason, another student and guitarist from China. At that time Jason was studying at Rotterdam Business School. Although he had played guitars in several bands in Beijing for a couple of years, he wasn't looking for a band yet. Instead, he was just enjoying writing guitar music on his own. Anyhow, from that day on, Lu and Jason kept hanging out togther at metal music concerts in the Netherlands.
Almost one year later, in September 2006, Lu found the bassist Yu, another Chinese student who just came to Tilburg University. Yu had just escaped from some punk rock fantasy with his bass guitar, and was still in the mist of sorting out a Dutch school life in Tilburg. Somehow Lu convinced Yu in founding a metal band; and together they persuaded Jason to join. Yet at that moment, they were in need of a drummer and also thinking about a proper name for the band.
Right before the forming up of the band, Jason had just graduated and started his new studying for a master degree in Music Management at School of Art Utrecht. It was the place where Jason met Erik, a passionate drummer and music management student who had just decided to return to a life with metal music. The four of them went for jamming in Tilburg and enjoyed what they played on that Saturday. Right after the short but exciting moment of sound wave, Erik decided, being quite delighted, to join the band officially in April 2007. Not long after that, the four of them found their mutual musical taste and decided to use all possible metal styles and diversity to develop their own vibe. The bottom line is that every song they write shall always deliver what heavy music is supposed to do.
During about three months of rehearsal, the band finished 7 songs and arranged their first gig at Little Devil, a café that is one of the gathering places for metalheads in Tilburg. At the mean time they had considered several band names and finally came up with "Power of Chaos". It is just the way how the band sees about the world. "Chaos may represent the ultimate uncertainty and possibility from which both greatness and mediocrity could take place. Besides, we perceive human mind as the state which alwayse has chaos in presence. Rationality wouldn't exist if unpredictable emotion doesn't wave its hand to us. It just makes all of us chaotic somewhere inside. We believe the power contained by such chaos as one of the sources of the world's equivalence that we need. The power just delivers us all the good and bad things at all life levels. " Says Jason such, as a piece of view from the band’s mutual perception about this world.
