Well, let's see. I was born and raised in Connecticut. I'm a pretty down to earth kinda girl. I enjoy being around people I love and who love me back. I believe that as far as friends are concerned, quality is preferred over quantity any day.
I'm a pretty happy person. I love to laugh and be around people who can laugh with me.
As far as politically, I don't like to say I'm one party over another, but I tend to agree with Democrats more than Republicans, so I guess that makes me a Democrat. I'm a liberal. And proud of it!
I just graduated from the University of Florida College of Nursing with my Bachelor's degree and now I work at CMH. After I finish a year or two of Obstetrics experience, I will be going back to school for my Doctorate in Midwifery. Even though I am a Gator at heart, I don't know if UF will be the school I choose to go to. Anyone who says I won't go back doesn't know me very well at all.

I love Obstetrics. Not everyone can say they help bring life into the world. It's what I enjoy. I love being around joy and happiness that strong.
I tend to not listen when people give me advice, even though I like to hear it. I learn from my experiences and at least I can say I followed my own choices in life, not someone else's.
I am learning that the doctor doesn't always know best. Ask any nurse and they'll tell you the same thing. Now don't get me wrong, some doctors are great, but some really do need help...or happy pills....something. Scary thought huh?
I believe that who you work with makes all the difference in the world. The best job I have ever had was working with people that were like a second family to me (shout out to all my Lowe's peeps! :D).
I always have to be the boss as far as work is concerned. I have always been a leader. I guess you can say I don't like people telling me what to do. Once I feel comfortable with my practice, you better believe I'll be in charge. But I'm a cool boss so it works out well for everyone :D.
I'm not a heavy drinker. I feel bad for those kind of people anyway. I see way too many of them in the hospital as it is. I will socially have one drink. I'm a lightweight so usually I CAN'T have more than a few.
I'm deathly afraid of cockroaches. I don't know why, but they just creep me out more than you can imagine. So I'm living in the wrong state.
I'm a very independent person. I like to do things my way, including make my own money. My mother raised me to never depend on a man for anything. I owe her everything and I am happy with how she raised me. Because of her, I have my own career and my own life that I'm happy with.
One of many goals for 2009 is to be able to buy a house of my own before Christmas. I think I have everything planned out where I will be able to do it. I know what I am looking for. Another one of my goals for myself is to stop letting people walk all over me. I think because I am so nice, people have the tendancy to try to get away with things. I allowed people to take advantage of my kindness and my trust. That won't ever happen again.
Ok well, I guess that's enough for now. I'll add more as I think of it :D.
