About Me

Let me tell you my personal Testimony: my life has taken a lot of interesting paths. Throughout all of that I had always known what my life's calling was. Although I didn't really know if I would ever get to achieve my dream of serving in the house of the lord, I knew it was what I loved to do. I can't explain how overjoyed I was the moment I was given the honor of serving the lord by Pastor Endriyas. Very few things in life ever fill me with such joy; that moment truly is a moment I will always treasure. When dreams come true, the feelings experienced are unexplainable; but when you have made the plan the lord has made for you, your dream—it's a heavenly joy---and I pray I continue to experience this joy of serving the lord for eternity. Certainly as is the case with many kids that grew up in Christian households, I went out of the confines of Christianity and indulged myself into the secular world. I guess you can say I was looking for happiness in all the wrong places. One of the most foolish assumptions I made, as I'm sure many still do is to think that just because my parents were saved that I would be too. Knowing God doesn’t come through family but through a personal relationship with him and Life certainly dealt me a lot of interesting cards; some good, many more unpleasant. This world is full of facades. It is enticing in that from an outside view, it gives one the impression of joy, happiness, and fulfillment. Once it has seduced you into it and wrapped you in its web of sinfulness, you start realizing how deceitful the world can be and how sad and unfulfilling it actually is. During these phases, I made many friends and lost many more. I not only learned that everything and everyone is temporary, but that it's only the love of the Lord that's everlasting. The world gave me happiness that faded soon after but God gave me his happiness and peace that will never change. Through the thick and thins of life, I saw that he never gave up on me as many of my friends and relatives had. Even when I thought I had wandered off too deep into sinful territories to ever return to the Lord, He was always right there making sure I knew I can always come to him. Considering how much I had distanced myself away from the Church, I can only see it as a miracle that I am where I am today. I truly do see myself as the Prodigal Son for the Lord has welcomed me with open arms back into his kingdom. For this I am ever grateful. Ever since I was a young kid living back in Ethiopia I had shown my interest in singing. To the dismay of some people, I would sit on top of the roof and sing. People would see that and either laugh or think that I'm crazy. I didn't care, I loved singing and my father always encouraged me to sing. In Ethiopia, it is obviously a treat and a privilege to even get the chance to sit by piano, let alone play it. I still remember being a little boy and seeing a piano at my house, which was there for a small church service they held at our house since it was the Dergue era. One day, my father saw me playing with the keys on the piano, and as any Habesha parent would, he hit my hand as a warning not to touch it. As we all know, kids start to have fascination about things they're not allowed to do. I never got the chance to play with such an instrument until I was here in the US and when I saw a keyboard I remember not being allowed to play with it and that in a sense drew me into playing it. Since I didn't have a keyboard for myself and really wanted to play it, I would always go to my cousin's house to play it there since he owned one and played it at church. I quickly got attached to it and wanted to continue to practice until I can get fairly comfortable playing it. I would sometimes go into my cousin's house even when he's not home and take it home and play it. He didn't have a way to get to my house and pick it up many times and he certainly was getting tired of it. I continued to frustrate him but he understood that I only wanted to learn until I can buy my own. Fortunately, I was able to buy my own set of keyboards with the help of my mother and I now have a studio of my own. During all this, I hadn't known this was all God's way of preparing me for the church. So to say I had always known I would be doing what I love to do for the Lord would not be fully truthful; but what I knew for sure is that I had always loved playing music and loved serving the lord even more. It's a blessing to have the opportunity to do both at the same time. The joy of serving the lord is the greatest joy of all and if they can do that while still being able to do other things they love, I'm sure they would have no need to go out into the world looking for the wrong things in the wrong places. I would advise people to understand that they don't have to sacrifice anything other than living in sin to be able to serve the lord. Music is only a medium of worship; which means even if your life's passion is music, know that your life's calling is serving the Lord; no matter you're gifted in, including music. Every second that passes by, you're that much closer to seeing the lord; let every minute count and let it be used to glorify God—and glorifying Him begins with first reading the Bible. You can know about him by reading what he says about you. As a computer manufacturer sends a computer with a manual to function properly God has given you a manual, the bible, for you to live correctly in a way that glorifies him. All the answers to your questions are in his hands. At the end for everyone that is reading my profile I would say if you don’t know Jesus you are missing a lot. He will give your life meaning and purpose, happiness that won’t fade inner peace, guide and source of happiness through all the circumstances you may face but most of all everlasting life and your chance to one day see God face to face. So just stop for awhile and think about it."The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because The LORD has anointed me TO BIND UP THE BROKENHEARTED; to proclaim freedom to the captives; TO COMFORT ALL WHO MOURN; provide the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that He may be glorified."Is 61:

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The one that I would like to meet face to face is God my father. That is the day that my heart awaits for to actually see God with my eyes. I can’t see Him now but He is more than real to me as I can see any of my friends I know that I know that he is there. The amazing thing about God is that He can’t be seen but he is above all those that can be seen. If he over ranks everyone without being seen how amazing is he when seen. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------Journey: My future plan is to go around the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through songs and worship. I would like to see people’s lives, especially teenagers, being transformed through the good news of Jesus Christ, people of all kinds of races and cultures worship the one and only true God. There isn’t more joy than when a soul is saved from hell and I hope to reach lots of soul’s, that are otherwise going to hell, through my worship and bring them to a relationship with God. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- God's Remedy...The CrossJesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He is the only one who can bring us back to God. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people. The Bible says: There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God (1 Timothy 2:5). Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God (1 Peter 3:18). But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful (Romans 5:8). God has provided the only way -- we must make the choice. Our Response...Give Ourselves to ChristWe must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again. The Bible says: So you will be saved, if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death. God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this. (Romans 10:9-10) Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now? How to give your life to Christ: 1. Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness. 2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave. 3. Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------- What to Pray: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God so now I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------What do I do Now?As you draw close to the Lord, He will teach you His ways and give you His strength. There are some practical steps you can take to come closer to God and to allow Him to guide you.Prayer:It is important to spend time in prayer every day. Just as you can not grow without eating food each day, so your spirit must be fed in order for growth to occur in our walk with the Lord. The good news is that as children of God we have access to His presence any time we need it. You actually have the right to come before God and to share with Him your intimate thoughts, desires and fears. Prayer is simply talking to your heavenly Father.----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- Fellowship:When you gave your life to Jesus Christ, you became a vital part of God's family, the Church. As you get involved in a local church you will receive strength and encouragement from other believers. But you will also give something vital of yourself back to others. This is one reason why being involved in a local church is so important -- and why the Bible says not to neglect meeting together with other believers (Hebrews 10:25).As you learn about Him through prayer, Bible reading and fellowship with other Christians, God will guide you and give you the wisdom you need for every challenge in life. May God richly bless you as you continue to follow Him.-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ Please Memorize These Verses:"What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!" (2 Corinthians 5:17)."I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life" (1 John 5:13).------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ - As Children Of The Most High God...We Can Stand Firm ...And Say With Confidence And Holy Boldness..... Ps. 84:11" "I have come that they may have life AND have it more abundantly. Jn. 10:10b" In Jesus' name I Pray, Believe and Trust and Stand Firmly On Your Word!....AMEN----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- When you make the wise decision of making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life "instead of yourself", He will save your soul and He will conform you to His own image, righteous and holy. As David said in Psalm 23, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." As a child of God, you are joint-heir to everything that the Creator of the universe has, yet you are to be the humblest and meekest of persons. After I started to walk with the Lord Jesus, my life completely changed.---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------Life is like a book with many different chapters, some tell of tragedy and others of triumph. Some chapter are dull and ordinary, others intense and exciting. The key to being a success in life is to never stop on a difficult page, to never quit on a tough chapter. Champions have the courage to keep turning the pages because the know a better chapter lies ahead, "because with JESUS all things are Possible"--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------Imagine for a moment that you’re building a house. You hire a building contractor, but he never consults the blueprints drawn up by your architect, your designer. He works without a plan. An unwise move because the contractor needs to know where to lay the foundation, erect the walls and place the windows. Only then will the home look the way it was intended. The same can be said of life. How can we try to build our life without first consulting the great architect of life, the one who created us for a wonderful purpose? The Bible says, “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (Romans 8:28). Furthermore, there is more to be gained by living according to God’s plan. True fulfilment and meaning in life is found in God. That’s why the philosopher St. Augustine said centuries ago, “You have made us for yourself, O God, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.” By asking Jesus God’s son to be the biggest part of your life, you will discover the very purpose for which God created you. There is no thing and no one else who can do this no religion, no philosophy, no person. Just Jesus. He said of himself, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
