I'm a big fan of professional wrestling, and through the magic of . . . Hmmmm I'll have to come up with something humorous later. Anyway, now I am also involved with it thanks to AWA Pro-Wrestling RUSH
You can see me once a month as the ring announcer in my goofy red tie, calling the names of bunch of dudes in their underwear . . .but trust me it's cool.
I also get my kicks singing at karaoke bars with these two . . .
(Cheap Pop for Double Trouble) My Pearl Jam gets me the most praise, but I'm really an eighties pop nut at heart. So now that is what I do, learn new songs so that me and the screen don't have such a heart to heart, allowing me to move around on stage and look constipated doing it!
This just in: I've now been confirmed a good singer in two states!
Soon I'd like to get a bit of vocal training and be in a cover band with friends of mine. Video games also occupy my time along with table top hobby/gaming. 40K to be precise.(starting to smell like dork in here) I can paint a mean mini, and my terrain building skills are competent. . .and that really impresses the ladies! (sarcasm anyone.)
Right now, anyone will do. Need to shake social anxiety somehow. . . why not in a way that sticks me in front of a screen till my eyes dry out! Honestly, I'm not as much of a dink in person, but only slightly. I prefer face to face, though that's silly because I clam up so bad to shyness that you'd think this forum would be ideal. Even worse when you crack that barrier, I never shut up! Whatever welcome to me.
Music wise I'm a fan of the nineties. That would be my decade of influence. However I was born in the eighties and was unable to escape the grip hair metal and those gosh darn catchy pop tunes. I'm a sucker for power ballads. My current favorites include. . .
I'm am a big fan of powerful male vocals hence the Journey and Danzig, unfortunately these singers are out of my range. I also skim the shallow end of celtic folk and rebel music, I say shallow end since my exposure is relatively low. I find that I'm also starting to enjoy the blues, slowly to ensure I get what I'm listening to.
I'm also a stand-up comedy fan . . .
these gentlemen being my personal faves with others like Chris Rock and Bill Maher rounding out my favorites.
I enjoy twist endings quite a bit, since they make you think. Original romantic comedies, Over-the-top comedies and comic flicks. . .though honestly Spider-Man has been the only decent one, Batman Begins was pretty good however. I have a guilty pleasure for those silly teen romantic comedies, and I have no idea why. Other than the above other favorites include: Memento, Man on the Moon and of course, Monty Python flicks.
I like 5-7 network reruns. Prime time usually is full of junk, though every once in a while I'll check in on Idol to see what wonderful "talent" I will be forced to hear on the radio for the next year as they try to launch a miserable career. I like Adult Swim as well, mainly Samurai Champloo and the Boondocks. One day I'll be an avid current wrestling fan, but it is hella hard with the garbage they are pumping out right now. Kinda like SNL. *groan*
Mostly non-fiction. I was the only kid in novel reading class reading biographies and books about medieval armor and weapons.
Hmmm my Hero section got HTML bombed. . . interesting. Anyway to look up to someone is to aspire too emulate them. I would rather not be anyone but me. . .no matter how big of a pain in the ass I am.
