About Me

Canadian-born singer-songwriter living in Scotland. Formerly played with bluegrassers New County Line, country band Country Caravan, garage rockers Mighty Mike & the Menus, and roots trio Medicine Hat Band. Currently plays with eclectic acoustic ska/jazz/rockers The Kings of Cheeze.

In 2004, Williams recorded his first solo work (Doc and Angel) with Dave Gray at the Sound Cafe Recording Studio (www.sound-cafe.co.uk). The following year he recorded a kids' album, Twinkle Twinkle: Sing-a-long songs for young children, inspired by his singing and storytelling with children.

In addition to his solo work, Williams performs as part of the Kings of Cheeze, a 7-piece acoustic band (www.myspace.com/kingsofcheeze) which has released 3 EPs.

Williams is also an experienced peace education worker involved with children and young people. He frequently works in schools addressing conflict resolution issues and non-violence. Much of his singing and storytelling is dedicated to peace work.
