About Me

Hey! I'm just me, not much more to say!

My Interests

Interests change as we improve with age!! I like to read, write, be around my family and friends, stamp cards, walk, watch sunsets over Lake Michigan, listen to all kinds of music. I like movies with good plots and interesting characters. I am interested in travelling here in the US and abroad...So far in my travels I have found that people everywhere have a lot in common--we want the best for our kids, fulfilling work, good friends and delicious food.

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting people who are kind, honest and try to make their little corner of the world a better place.

Music:

Electic tastes ranging from blues to zydeco

Movies:

I like movies that inspire and make you think. I also like romantic movies with happy endings. Action flicks are okay if they are not too violent or bloody.

Television:

No cable or dish here, so we are at the mercy of network programming. We do like CSI. Also NUMB3RS is cool. (Richard and I just got hooked on DVD's of Stargate SG-1, a sci-fi show even though we are not really fans of sci-fi!)

Books:

I don't read as many books as I used to. I do read several professional journals. And I am liking poetry more and more.

Heroes:

Real heroes are ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary situations and just continue to do their job and do it well. All of us are capable of being a "hero" to someone and that is what we should strive for in life.
