Conceived in October of 2007, "Intent To Kill" are an all-star line-up. When you look at the accomplishments and contributions these members have achieved throughout the years in the metal scene, it's hard to say they're not All Stars!
Kyle Symons has a long background screaming on classic cd's with Hate Plow and Malevolent Creation. Rob Barrett has been a driving force and riff writer with Cannibal Corpse, Hate Plow, Solstice, and Malevolent Creation since the early '90's. Chris Basile helped create and pioneer a legendary style of metal (New York Death Metal), starting out early playing with Suffocation, then moving on to his long-time band Pyrexia. Jason Blachowicz, the original bassist of Malevolent Creation and Divine Empire, known for his prominent bass sound and playing abilities, as well as lending vocals to various albums he's done. Dave Culross's incredible reputation of being one of the leading extreme drummers in the metal scene since his early days with Malevolent Creation, to his days with Suffocation, and his many studio albums he's been involved in. All members have influenced a generation of metal-heads, in one or more aspects.
The main reason for these guys getting together is to be one of metals newest extreme acts, collaborating the styles of the various members all shining through in every song.
As of this bio being penned, there are a few songs 'in the works'. There has not yet been a "meeting of the minds", but one is tenatively set for January 28th-30th '08. The recordings are set to take place in Sub-Sonic Sound Studios (a brand new studio in New York), with some of the finest new gear available.
Shortly thereafter, demos and pre-production of the songs will be shopped for a label.
This band will have a "take-no-prisoners" mentality, and will not carry dead weight. All members are top-level musicians, and these Veterans undoubtedly know how to create some of the best music ever written! Hence the name, "Intent To Kill".
