I AM Liset Maldonado. I'm 100% Cuban. I was born in cuba and raised in Miami. My days are spent between the lights and action of Miami working and making time to just be with friends and family at home. That is pretty much the duality of my life; sometimes chaotic and glitz and glam yet a lot of the time low-key and simple. I find myself on both ends of the spectrum...it keeps my life interesting I suppose.
I REMAIN a real down to earth chic; I can poke fun at myself, laugh when I do something stupid, have conversations with anyone/anywhere, and make the best of any situation. I'm humble, I'm grounded, I am the same girl in the pictures that you'll meet in real life…don't need to hide behind a facade on the internet.
I BELIEVE that you get what you give. If you surround yourself with negative vibes & negative people you attract that into your life. I've realized I am in control of what happens TO me and around me. I choose to only surround myself now with positive people and situations. I take from every experience and keep improving. I thank my lucky stars I am happy, healthy and loved. For now that is enough for me. God Family Friends Career...those four make me a VERY happy woman.
I STRIVE to excel at everything I set my mind to. I have been modeling for about 4 years. I wake up everyday thankful that I am doing what I love. Work without passion is just a job. I am motivated because I know I am still capable of achieving more. I'm a savvy business woman, an artist, a poet, a daughter, a friend, a philanthropist, I'm a "Jane of All Trades."
I HOPE to be an example to young women out there that there is a balance you can keep in life to have beauty AND brains. I work in two industries that will chew you up and spit you out. If you hold tight to your values no one can take that away from you. Don’t break, don’t falter...people will still love you for you, and at the end of the day you’ll love yourself too. I remain true to my beliefs and standards, if people don’t like it…beat it
I DONT need fame or recognition to know I've done well in life success to me is much more than just dollar signs. Everyday I can look at myself in the mirror and know I got to where I am and am going where I want to go with self respect and dignity. You don't have to compromise who or what you are to be successful. Remember, the people you see on the way up are the same you’ll see on the way down in life…step wisely! The amount of people who still remain interested in what is going on with me is flattering and I appreciate the support greatly.
I WISH to one day look upon these days in my life and say I did everything I ever dreamed to do. Even if it scared me, challenged me, changed me.
