About Me

____________________________________________________________ __The band started playing rock n' roll in 1996, but very soon they began to evolve into progressive rock, or something about, simply playing together and never changing the line-up. Thus, they shaped their sound little by little through the years, just working together on the songs. The music played can be defined just catchy in the main frame but also involved in articulated arrangments; the main feature is that every instrument has the same importance than the others, just to obtain the right stuff: a well-balanced and compact sound, something they like to consider as a prog-pop. The band self released three demos: the first called "A glare from depth" in 1998 and the second named "Of stars and mind" in 2001; both recorded in their practice room. The third is their first studio release named "PROTEO" and dated 2003. Recently Proteo started to record their first album self produced, even home-recorded but mixed and engineered with Diego's helpful-hand; the record, composed of 9 tracks and about 1 hour of music, will be ready in the early's of 2008 after a long and intensive period of work. Meanwhile, the band is looking for a distribuition for the forthcoming record._____________________________________________________ ________PROTEO - Music Video
