More and more people in our time ponder on the problem of life: what are we living for ? More and more people realize that the explanations given by scientists, theologians and philosophers are untenable, since they must disregard facts they find uncomfortable (e.g. the paranormal ). Many sects and cults today promise their followers a quick spiritual growth, make absurd claims or present teachings that are hostile to knowledge and life.
