About Me

I'm a nurse, currently taking medical transcription classes .. so I can have a break from the burnout of nursing. I work part time in the Women's health department at a small hospital and I do love it, but I still need to find something different, atleast for awhile. I'm a mom to a 10 year old angel with horns. He's great, but challenging, and brutally honest at the most inopportune times!

I'm engaged to the most incredible man! He's amazing, and I'm totally overwhelmed by him. Who knew that love really could be like this? I thank God every day for placing him in my life and I'd marry him tomorrow if I could!

My Interests

Cool Slideshows I love to sing! Karaoke, in the car, in the shower, at work, at church, wherever. I was involved in karate for awhile but had to put that on hold. Hopefully someday I'll be able to get back to it. I *try* to play the piano from time to time... so much for 14 years of lessons.

Cool Slideshows
Country (new), Top 40's, some 80's, some oldies, some jazz, actually I like some of about anything, aside from Heavy Metal and gangsta rap. I like stuff I can sing to.

Chick flicks, comedy, romance, the occasional scary movie, and anything with Vin Diesel, Will Smith, or Adam Sandler.

I don't watch much television anymore, but I'll definitely make time for American Idol next season. I like to catch the home makeover shows like Trading Spaces on TLC sometimes. My fiance' has gotten me watching House recently (why are there never any nurses in that show???) and The Closer.

Books:

I like easy to read novels, books about angels and Christmas. Some favorite books I've read over the last couple of years include The Red Tent, Angels and Demons, The Davinci Code and The Secret Life of Bees. Recently I've been enjoying John Grisham novels too.
