owl owl owl is a phantom, its a small platform based on the idea that music is made for fun. thanks to modern technology releasing and distributing your music became so easy that every person who ownes a guitar and a internet connection starts to think about a serious music carriere and becoming the “best kept secret” of some small unknown town. but something bothers, since everything and everyone takes themselves so serious and would like to make profit from what they’re doing it seems that there’s no space anymore - or at least less- for some honest music writing. therefor we exist. we release music not for making it big, but just for having it out there, somewhere. with small releases that are having a personal touch based on the concept of colaberation. two or more people who have there own bands or projects but still had some time to spend on a small collection of songs and the recording of them. we take them serious, we don’t want to book huge commercial successes, we don’t want to be bothered with sending releases to magazines to let the people know out there that we exist. we won’t book your tour, we won’t actively distribute, just put stickers referrering to us on streetlights, maybe. we just can and will spend a small amount of money in getting the release done and all the rest is up to you. take them to shows of your “real” band. play a livingroom show three or four times a year. sell them at the corner of the streets. we don’t mind. the only thing we care about is the idea that music is made for fun. just like it was when you where younger.
