My name is Suzanne Renee Justice and I enjoy nudity, painting, and emotionally provocative mark making. I am an expressive abstract painter with a severe interest in the valleys and peaks of the human figure. My main form of expression is the traditional oil on canvas. I am an active artist working towards a BFA in painting and drawing. As a child I spent most of my time making things on my bedroom floor, but it wasn’t until I became a young adult that I realized it was art. I want the viewer to feel a spurt of emotion thru a simple mark on my canvas. I build layers upon layers of thick and thin paint, wipe it off, and do it again. My use of color is vibrant yet simple; bringing movement to my painting, drawing the viewer’s eye to a figure caught in a photographic moment of intense emotion. The process of painting is erotic, bold, self- absorbed and self- medicating. Painting a fresh canvas is like spreading frosting across a warm cake, slippery and enticing. Art is eternal…….
