About Me
After the initial release of an eponym demo CD in 2000, Soulforge released its first full length album «Duality» at the end of 2002 on Great White North Records. After a lot of gigs in the province of Quebec in Canada and also following its success at winning the Brave Words & Bloody Kontest in May 2003, the band was ready to put its creative potential into a second album called «Re-Activate».
Expanding their horizons with influences of Rock, Death Metal, Melodic Metal and Industrial, Soulforge's band members really improved their writing skills and they became, without a doubt, one of the most promising bands of North America.Expect some catchy songs that will stick in your head and make you want more and more !Classical elements, industrial/analog sounds, brutality, melancholy, strong guitar work, diversified vocals from clean to screams and, of course, beautiful melodies, will definitely catch the attention of all listeners !For their new release, Soulforge's members teamed up with Jean-François Dagenais (Kataklysm, Malevolent Creation, Despised Icon, etc.) for the recording at JFD Studios and the album has been produced and mixed by Fred Maloney, a name well-known in music & television sound engineering, and that, for more than 10 years !To complete Soulforge commitment to release an outstanding product, the amazing and evocative album artwork has been done by none other than Travis Smith who did the artwork for bands like Opeth, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Soilwork and many others. Re-Activate is done and ready to be unleashed; and so is Soulforge to tour and rock your place !Soulforge is a name that you'll never forget !
