The Boston Music Conference (BMC) was created to provide talented young artists, producers, and entrepreneurs the opportunity to launch their careers and make contacts within the music industry that would not be possible without this conference.
The BMC will be a two day event that will start Friday September 26 at Mojito's Nightclub & Lounge in downtown Boston, and will include workshops, a talent showcase, numerous networking opportunities and exclusive events. The highlight of the BMC is the conference itself, which will be held the following day Saturday September 27, 2008 at the Roxy Ballroom in downtown Boston.
The Boston Music Conference will bring together 2500+ participants from around the country, including artists, entrepreneurs, entertainment personalities, students, major music industry label and corporate representatives as well as publicists and marketers.
+ You will have the opportunity to meet top A&R’s, executives and representatives from major labels including Universal, Def Jam, Sony Latin, Mas Flow, Interscope, Univision Records, G Unit, Machete Music, Motown and many more.
+ Representatives from the top radio stations across the country who can tell you what it is that they are looking for in music that makes their playlist.
+ You will be able to hear the stories from the leaders of the music industry and get their advice.
+ You will have the chance to find out what the future of the music industry holds.
This is the first time an event like this has come to Boston, despite the talent that the region is home to. Before the BMC, aspiring artists from New England who wanted to make it big had to go to another city. This year, thanks to the support of our sponsors, both corporate and in the music industry, we are able to bring the resources and information to Boston so that the region’s talented artists can succeed right here.
This is a major event, so be sure to prepare your bio, press kit, demo, etc. Opportunities like this are rare, so make the most of it.
