About me: I’ve had had an extensive and varied music industry career over more than 20 years with major east and west coast radio stations, record labels and a trade magazine. In the eighties and nineties I was Program Director of “AAA†stations WXPN in Philadelphia and KSCA in Los Angeles, which both garnered large audiences and broke many bands like The Wallflowers and Joan Osborne. I put together numerous special events such as ‘XPN’s annual “Singer/Songwriter Weekend†music festival (Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson, etc.) and KSCA’s “Unwrapped†(not without help of course) series of Christmas concerts (John Mellencamp, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Barenaked Ladies, Suzanne Vega, Ben Folds Five, etc.) As Director of Radio Promotion at Way Cool Music and E Pluribus Unum Recordings (Adam Duritz of Counting Crows’ label), I worked records for acts like The Specials, Gigolo Aunts and Joe 90. I also founded and hosted the popular KCRW weekend music show “Weekend Becomes Eclectic†and, as AAA Editor at HITS Magazine, I was an early champion of many breakout releases including John Mayer’s, Norah Jones’ and Los Lonely Boys’ debuts, and the multi-platinum soundtrack “O Brother, Where Art Thou.†I also worked on some movies serving as music consultant/supervisor for films, including working on projects such as “The Insider†and “Ali,†both directed by Michael Mann. Currently I have a roster of really good unsigned artists who I rep for TV and Flm licensing. ACTIVELY SEEKING UNSIGNED BANDS FOR FILM/TV REPRESENTATION.
