Hurricane residents Aaron and Andrew Kidd, ages 17 and 16, started playing in 2001. In late 2006, they were joined by veteran musicians Markel Fertig and Willard Reynolds of Eleanor and Milton. They have since played at numerous local venues. A milestone was reached for Andrew last year when he captured 2nd place at the annual Vandalia Gathering held in Charleston. He captured 4th place at the Vandalia Gathering in 2007, and 1st place at the Clay County Golden Delicious Apple Festival in the banjo contest the same year. The group has recorded 2 CDs, both of which are available at their website http://kiddbrothers.tripod.com for $10 and $15, and they also have produced a DVD, complete with 12 songs, for $25.
