About Me

I am a laid back and educated guy who happens to be built like a stick. I have a passion for music and propaganda. I play golf, spin records, drink beer, watch TV, make sarcastic comments, and participate in general shenanigans. As a tall, skinny Texan with the hick accent to match, I use large words to thrill and confuse my audience. I write lyrics and stories and such that will only be valuable after my death if even then. I have had my share of ups and downs, but so far so good and some other cliches. My heart tends to run the show which is a real pain in the ass, but after a decade or so of fighting it I have decided to go with the flow. It wants what it wants...no logic can defeat that. Besides all great artisits must endure pain and suffering, so maybe I can be an artist someday if I keep it up. I am a terrible speller and the only math I am good at is in relation to card games (i.e. spades, hearts, black jack, poker)

My Interests

Spining records, TV, computers, policy debate, theoretical hypotheticals, golf, Taco Bueno, Freebirds, Dr. Pepper, Jack Daniels, glass, Shiner, JD and DP, X-Box, Driving fast, South Park, and horse races

I'd like to meet:

I am looking for like and open minded, sarcastic, well adjusted individuals. The Mavericks. People that like to play pool, bowl, and/or drink beer. Vince Vaughn, Kid Rock, my future significant other. The folks who write Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Matt and Trey. Kevin Smith. The guy who played Slater in Dazed and Confused and is now on CSI Miami. "You cool man?"

Music:

My tastes are diverse. Hip hop and Kid Rock to the Pumpkins, Dance, and such. I like to create as well as enjoy. I am a sucker for intelligent lyrics and big fat bass. I like uniqueness. Classic Rock, select 80's artisits, Beastie Boys, DJs who can put out a mix CD without having to pander to the record labels (which is damn near impossible now) Sweat Shop Union, Charlie Danniels, Johnny Cash, Toadies, Andy Smith (Portishead DJ), The Streets, Beck, and other stuff that does not suck.

Movies:

Dazed and Confused, Desperado, Mallrats, Dogma, Swingers, Old School, Royal Tennenbaums, One Upon a Time in Mexico, Major League, The Program, The Rookie, Holes, Digstown, the one I will eventually write a screenplay to and shamelessly promote, and some other classics and non-classics.

Television:

Comedy Central, Law and Order, CSI, some reality crap TV (Real World is the Godfather of all these shows and deserves a tiny bit of respect.) and other stuff as I scan the channels late at night. Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy

Books:

Zod Wallop, Gun with Occassional Music, Still Life of a Woodpecker, Chomsky, Miracle on the 17th Green, Ecstacy Club, any of the Phule's Brigade series, Will to Violence Susane Kappler.

Heroes:

Dean Martin and the parents in no particular order.

Back to my roots or some such

For the last few months I have been working as an assistant debate coach. Debate was a fundamental part of my life for many years. It trumped most everything else. I worked on school work, cause I ...

Socializing sucks

So there is some magical sense we will all get when we meet the right person. I know this is true because the movies, TV, and books say so. Art would not lie right? Seems like more often than not...
