I’ve lived in LA since the Fall of 2001 and I love it. People come here with big dreams that are more important to them than fitting in or playing it safe. I’ve been through so much here that I can’t even really remember what it felt like to be me before LA.My primary interest is writing and performing music. I’ve been a singer since I could make noise and guitar player since age 7, been in countless bands, made countless recordings, performed countless shows. I’ve imagined doing other things with my life but they’re all a distant second to music. One significant pre-LA event happened in San Francisco in the early 90’s when I suffered a debilitating injury to my right wrist. It was so bad I had to stop playing guitar completely for about 2 years, then take another year to re-learn how to play again. It was without question the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to go through. However, once healed I found a focus and drive I had never had before. I started releasing my own records as well as producing and engineering other artists and ultimately moving to LA where I got my first record deal. The songs on this profile are from that record (Who Am I Now) which, sadly, was never released due to label problems. It’s a few years old now so it doesn’t feel too much like me anymore but I still enjoy it and it’s still the best recording I have of my own music. I’m overdue to record again but there’s a reason for that - and the reason is: Stonehoney…A few years back I got musically involved with an amazing bunch of guys simply for the love of the music we made together. Much to all of our surprise, we started to make far more headway in the industry than any other project I (or any of us) had been a part of. I highly recommend that you head to MySpace.com/Stonehoney and check us out as soon as you’re done clicking around my profile. I suppose I’ll get back to writing solo material someday but for now all of my musical passion is focused on Stonehoney.I do have a few other interests… but not really. ;-DThanks for stopping by. - Nick Randolph
