Andy Mattle - alias trombandy - is a professional trombone player from Switzerland.
He studied classical trombone at Musikhochschule Luzern, Switzerland where he graduated in 2002. After 2 years advanced studies at CODARTS in Rotterdam NL, he also graduated Jazz Performance at Hochschule Luzern in 2007.
During this years, he was working on a regular base with numerous teachers such as: Ludwig Wicki, Jörgen van Rijen, Pierre Volders, George Wigel, Ben van Dijk, Jonas Bylund, Philipp Jones, Michel Bequet, Bart van Lier, Nils Wogram, Ilja Reijngoud, Chris Wiesendanger, Marco Käppeli and more.

Mr. Ray's Class , blehmuzik and the 21st Century Orchestra . He plays with the 'David Regan Orchestra', 'Lucerne Trombone Connection' and is founder and leader of the Renaissance Music Ensemble 'Compagnia Monteverdi Luzern'. Besides that he's regularly doing concerts & recordings in pop, jazz and classical business.
He has played with a number of outstanding musicians: Randy Newman, Howard Shore, Maria Schneider, Barry Guy, Krzysztof Penderecki, Linard Bardill, Josef Bowie, Wayne Bergeron, Randy Brecker, Rainer Tempel, Dieter Ammann, Christoph Baumann and many others.
