BAND BIO OVERVIEW!...................................................
............................................ Limp Bizkit was formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1994. The band consists of Fred Durst on lead vocals, Sam Rivers on bass, John Otto on drums, Wes Boreland on guitar, and DJ Lethal on the turntables. The band got a break in 1995 when Fred Durst, who was a tattoo artist at the time, tattooed members of Korn. He gave the Korn band members a demo tape, and they passed it on to their producer. ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- Some stuff 'bout Fred: Fred was born and raised in Gastonia, North Carolina. Fred confesses that he wasn't one of the best pupils in the school. The teachers didn't like him very much. In his earlier years in school he was a skater and listened to a lot of rap, and he began to rap himself at the age of 14. But even if he cheated on some of his tests he made it through High School. In the late teenage years he moved to Jacksonville... And the story of Limp Bizkit can begin...( he is also an ex-navy man) Fred joined Limp Bizkit at age 23. .......Real Name: Fred's real name is "William Fredrick Durst". And he's born August 20, 1970. Many say it's 1971, but other rumors say Anita (Freds mom) says that he is born -in 1970. Also said is that he was born: Frederick Allen Mayne III after his dad. A lil funny blurb, is that many people asked Fred how old he is and he use to answer "13". Fred has been doing some side projects in the movie / acting/ and movie production. He admitted to having always want to direct films. He recently starred in a mini series on T.V "Revelations", and he was an actor in the movie POPULATION 436. In the near future we should be seeing a release of , fred durst directed film "The Education Of Charlie Banks". ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- Stuff bout WES: Wesley Louden Borland, who would later be known as Wes Borland, was born on February 8, 1975, to Presbyterian minister and nursery school teacher Tom and Sally Borland. His only brother is musician Scott Borland (born on February 14, 1979), a member of bands Vanilla Ice, Big Dumb Face, and Eat the Day. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Wes spent five years (1985-1990) in Nashville, Tennessee. His family moved to Jacksonville and Wes studied art at Hillsboro High School. Originally having the desire to play the drums, 12-year-old Wes got a guitar instead. Tutored by two instructors specialized in rock, blues, country, and classical, Wes continued to study jazz for three years in college. On April 10, 1998, Wes tied the knot with girlfriend Heather McMillan. The couple currently lives in Los Angeles, California's Greffith Park, together with brother Scott. For years Wes suffered from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and was treated with the drug Dexadrine. He quit smoking and taking Dexadrine in 1999. GOING BACK A BIT: a bit:17-year-old Wes Borland began his music career by joining several bands, including Pythis and Krank (with brother Scott). While in high school, Wes, his brother, and friends Kyle Weeks and Greg Isabelle, formed a band called Goatslayer, which later became Big Dumb Face. While working as a bartender in a café in Florida, Wes met Limp Bizkit's original members. Impressed by his guitar talent, Limp Bizkit's head, Fred Dust, offered Wes an audition. Wes was 18 year old when he finally got the job and joined with other band members, John Otto, Sam Rivers, and late arrival DJ Lethal... On October 12th, 2001, Wes Borland left Limp Bizkit. He departed after the release of the band's albums, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (October 2000) and Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle, September 2001). While away from Bizkit, Borland performed with his brother Scott in the band Big Dumb Face, which later turned into Eat the Day. Meanwhile, Limp Bizkit was trying to find a replacement for Borland. After accepting then departing from the replacemnt guitar player, Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst asked Borland to rejoin the band. After several rejections of the offer, Borland finally decided to return to Limp Bizkit in August 2004. With Wes Borland reunited with the band, Limp Bizkit released their next albums, The Unquestionable Truth (May 2005) and Greatest Hitz (November 2005). As a member of From First To Last, Borland has been touring with them roughly since early 2006. We're not sure on the status of his membership in the band to this date, but it is believed he is now focusing only on his new band Black Light Burns. ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- Stuff 'bout Jon: name: John Otto born: 1977 plays: drums He play's the drums in limp bizkit. John began in the band because of his cousin (sam) who sam suggested to Fred as the drummer.. John has been playing drums since he was 17. Before he joined limp bizkit he played the drums not for rock purposes but as a jazz drummer. ( best drummer in the world if you ask me) He has recently (2007) joined and is working in another group/ band called Stereo Chemix, which is a mix of rap type rock. Still there nothing is beaing said about John leaving Limp Bizkit... so as far as we know, no matter the bands or prodjects we still have him as Limp Bizkits drummer. ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- Stuff 'bout Sam: name: Sam Rivers born: ??? plays: bass Sam is the youngest member of Limp Bizkit. He was only 19 when "Three dollar bill" was released. He likes old rock like: Black Sabbath and Megadeath. He is really good on the bass and was voted the 'best bass player in the world' a few years ago. Sam's first job was at " Chik-fil-A" in one of the malls in his hometown Jacksonville. And he has also played in a band at Arlington Middle called 'Malachi Sage'. He is cousins with John and suggested that Fred got John in as the drummer for the band. ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- Stuff about Lee: name: Leor Dimant [DJ Lethal] born: ??? plays: turntables nickname: Lee, Lethal Before Lee begun in Limp Bizkit he was the Dj in the Irish rap group, House of Pain. He began in the House of pain around -91. One of the biggest hits House of Pain have done is: Jump around which limp bizkit have actually covered in the past. And the story why Lee is in Limp Bizkit is like this: When both Limp n' House of Pain toured together Lee thought that Limp were really good. He loved the music and the way they played. Limp Bizkit and Lee became pals and stayed in contact. Then when House of Pain broke up in -96 each member when there own seperate ways and Lee went 2 the Limp Bizkit way... ------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------- GABE: Now there is a hard one. Faithful Friend to Limp Bizkit Front man Fred Durst.
