Splynter (born Martin Landin December 21, 1988) is an Underground Rapper from Dinuba, Ca. He has been rapping since the age of 16. He started writing poetry and slowly started developing his own style of rap. Along with producer Awok, he released a 10 track ep, The Bassmeant Vol.1 in 2008, and is in the process of releasing his first full length studio album set to release early 2009.
He was introduced to hip hop at a young age. He was introduced to breakdancing at the age of 10, and was fascinated with the art form. He quickly began to find his passion for elements. As he grew older he began to get more involved with other elements of hip hop, at age 15 he began to write graffiti. He began to freestyle and write poetry in high school at the age of 16, and met up with producer Awok, and record his first few tracks. After recording a few songs and developing more structured rhymes, they slowly started buying recording equipment to better their sound.
Splynters style is different from your usual hip hop. His songs have a strong poetic sense and real life elements. His story telling and strong references to reality make him a lyricist that elevates the mind of the listener.
