I am still trying to grow up in Seward Alaska but was born in Fairbanks,my parents came here when they were kids one grandad was a gold miner the other a fisherman back when they did it all by hand he sailed around the world three times me I just cruise around Alaska,the family goldmining cabin still survives out by Summit Lake.I used play Guitar in the "D.Adrian Gillespie Band "We have played live on 4th ave in Seward for the 4th of July seven of the last nine years,while trying to raise money for local charity's donating all our tips and hosting an open mic for other musicians,some years 4 and 5 days in a row,Dale Gillespie is the lead player and the band is named after him,his wife Sherry plays bass and Dwight Smith is the drummer.We have been playing together for about 9 years now but since I moved from Anchorage to Seward Dale has started a new offshoot called the "Dale Gillespie Band",They play the Anchorage area and the D.Adrian Band play the Seward area several times a year.We do private parties and clubs if the price is right and host open Jam sessions,We Hosted Open Mic fall of 2007 from 8:00 PM til 4;30 AM and Wow did we wear ourselves out,may never be able to play that long again but Fun Fun Fun,we were joined by several other Musicians throughout the evening our drummer Dwight wore right through several layers of skin with many bleeding blisters that gig.My freind Kurt and I do a two man Acoustic showand I play another two man show with Mr.JT West,he is one of those rare gifted guitar players with Tone in his fingers uses no effects just plugs his guitar staight into his amp and Rocks us out,we are booking gigs for this spring and summer and are working on a Demo CD and another CD I have been writing lyrics for his songs and working on some of my originals,My newest song is titled " Polar Bear Stew "I also do a one man show sometimes just playing for tips in front of the Red Log Cabin on warm summer days.I am a Lifelong Alaskan,been driving truck for 30 years with over 2 and 1/2 million miles in state,so I love the road,I can't imagine doing or living anywhere else.I like to play guitar to all music my gift from the Lord is playing by ear.All my guitars are of the female gender they have nice body's great necks and heads,but with strings attached.
