Cezary Konrad

Cezary Konrad-born in 1967, is one of the most exceptional drummers in Poland today. On graduating from the Chopin's Academy of Music in Warsaw, he collaborated with the best of polish jazz musicians: Wlodek Pawlik, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Andrzej Kurylewicz, Krzysztof Herdzin, Tomasz Stanko, Leszek Mozdzer and many others. For 8 years he was a member of Anna Maria Jopek’s band, one of the best polish jazz singers. He collaborated with the international stars such as Randy Brecker, Susan Weinert, Didier Lockwood, Pat Metheny, Mino Cinellu and Gary Guthman. In 1990 as member of the band “Central Heating Trio” he won first prize at the Jazz Juniors Festival in Krakow. He won the “Key to Career “at the Pomorze Jazz Autumn festival and was a finalist at the international jazz festivals in Leverkusen (Germany) and Hoeliard (Belgium). He has also won numerous individual prizes. He has been a staff member and lecturer at numerous music workshops in Berlin, Neunkirchen, Bydgoszcz, Pulawy, Chodziez and Kalisz. Cezary Konrad has taken part in the recording of more than 70 albums, he has collaborated with The Warsaw Percussion Group and the Polish Radio and TV Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia. When playing solo Cezary Konrad thrills his audiences.
