About Me

Born in the year of 1978 in, by the end of the great music era, Linda was brought up in Fagersta, Sweden, with her parents musical influences such as The beach boys, The Who, Janis Joplin and Status Quo. As much as she appreciated and sang along to that, Lindas taste would turn out to lean more towards the great american folk singers. Names like the legendary Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell who combined the artcraft of great songwriting with pure poetry, ended up as Lindas favourites from that particular time in music history.Linda started writing her own music as a teenager but didn't really get the hang of it until she got herself a guitar at the age of 21. At the time she had just gotten back from four months of backpacking in Southeast Asia and found herself without an apartement of her own. She crashed where ever she was invited to and instead of paying rent with cash, she paid with singing/playing her songs. She always considered herself to be a vagabond at heart, a restless soul, a seeker of truth so she maintained her rootless lifestyle for five years. At one point she lived in Malaysia for a whole year where she was staying with the locals, learning about the malayan culture. Yet no matter where in the world she stayed, Linda never lost the music which came from deep within her and didn't leave her mind at ease before she'd written it down on paper. Through out the years of traveling and the quick visits back to Sweden she kept her songwriting going and she performed where ever she got the chance to.When it comes to recording Linda has done a couple of demo's and this year her debut album is released by an indie label called Ready for more records (Sweden) who signed Linda in 2006. Her first real album was named "Autobiography of an unknown singer" and accoarding to herself this album is authentic, raw, naked and apparently...every word is true. Her honest writing describes a young womans journey to find something within herself to hold onto, when everything around her falls. It's always been her mission to write about things close to her heart. Real things, real people, real experiences. As her rolemodels from the sixties and seventies she seeks that magical connection between the music and the lyrics. Where the two together makes the many dimensions of a song.
