Jiezuberband have been described, on their travels, as both Deep Tribal Rock and Psychedelic Blues which is as close as you can get to music which takes it influences from Classic Rock, Classical music, Blues and Psychedelia. The band are a 5 piece from West of Scotland and the music is often keyboard driven with the sound being a loose amalgamation of some of the bands favourite artists such as Deep Purple, Ozric Tentacles, Pink Floyd and Dreamtheatre.
Since forming around 2 years ago the band have gigged around all around the country, Scotland to begin with, and then further afield at venues across Britain. In the first few months of gigging, Jiezuberband earned a couple of good support slots with The Twilight Sad and Glasvegas.
Most recently the band headlined the Whitefriars music festival in Coventry and were soon afterwards shortlisted as one of the bands to support Status Quo at Ayr Racecourse as part of the Burns Festival in Ayrshire.
The band have released one EP and one mini album. Since the release of the mini album in May through their own label Woodbine Records, the band have been broadcast to thousands Worldwide through the growing underground interest from numerous podcasters and large internet radio stations. Jiezuberband recorded their mini album with award winning 'Travis' and 'Big Country' producer Duncan Cameron at Riverside Studios in Glasgow. They embarked on a successful tour last autumn, including festival appearances at Dunstaffnage (Oban) and Whitemare Rock Festival (Beckermet).During a six month break to write and begin recording their first full studio album, Jiezuberband unfortunately had to part ways with their bassist and are currently auditioning candidates (during May and June 2009.) All going well, the album will be well on its way to completion by late 2009 and in early 2010 the show will be well and truly back on the road.Peace.
