Pre-sent....ARMS!

About Me

Uh, let's see here. I'm a Marine who lives in the wonderfully exciting city of Akron, OH. Went to Case Western last year, but that was no fun, so this year I'm going to the University of Akron. I'm mostly a pretty friendly guy, unless you mess with me or those I care about. Those people being: My sisters Hannah and Greta, my brother Jeff, my parents, and my girlfriend of over two years, Chelsea.

My Interests

The Marine Corps. Yeah, I have quite a fondness for it. I recently started playing World of Warcraft. Say what you wish, but I like it. Just don't call me a loser. (Refer to my first interest).

Television:

I don't really watch much tv.

Books:

Just about anything written by Tom Clancy. I can easily go through his 1000 + page books in a couple of days. The Wizard of Earthsea series by Ursula LeGuin. Dune, by Frank Herbert, is probably my favorite book ever. I love it.

Heroes:

Hendrik Schouten, a man I only knew online. He was kind and humble, and would not fight someone for vanity even when he was right. He was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, in which he served as a solider in the U.S. Army. I admire him for his humility as well as his selflessness, which was demonstrated not only in his service to his country, but to fellow man. One night in an El Salvador bar, he gave his life defending a man who was attacked. Since I heard that, I've striven to be humble and selfless in all my dealings. I don't always suceed, but I try.Of course, my drill instructors, both from 3076 and 2069. Thank you SSgt. Cedeno, SSgt. Greenleaf, Sgt. Cline, SSgt. Borrero, Sgt. Kirkby, Sgt. Kennedy and Sgt. Lago for turning me into a Marine.

Saturday

Wow. This last weekend was insane. I had a way to get off the base Saturday, at no cost to myself, but I had to get up pretty early. It was a tough choice, but I decided it could be fun, so I woke up ...

Missing Home

Ugh. I don't want to be here. I have people to talk to (other Marines at that), but I'm still lonely. I want to be at home, where I can see Chelsea, and my family, and the few people I count as friend...

Experiment

So, the results of tonight's experiment are in. The data I have collected strongly support my original hypothesis. If you are 6'2" and only weigh 160 lbs, you most likely can NOT eat an entire medium...
