Floating numbly thru my hazel eyed dreams.
Pulling at the threads of reality and ripping the seams.
Images form in the darkness as my body drifts away in sleep.
Falling towards the unknown as I float towards the waters deep.
Floating in oceans of thoughts and memories.
Like running thru skies filled with blueberries.
They are everywhere around me.
They are everywhere for me to see.
Picking up bits and pieces to make crazy dreams.
Which sometime wake me in cold sweats, chills, and screams.
Some are forgotten in seconds that fracture.
Some may be signs of the upcoming rapture.
Others stay in my head for years to come.
These dreams are mixtures like Bacardi and rum.
Some wake me with tears that fill up my eyes.
Making me remember those dear to me who have passed on to rest in blue skies.
Others choke me and leave me speechless.
Just thinking of them throws everything I know into a mess.
When I sleep and when I dream.
Brings light into my darkness with a beam.
Making me happy just for a bit.
I wake and go on the edge of my bed to sit.
A grin so shyly begins to form.
