What of Love? My understanding continues to increase. May I share with you what's been revealed to me? .. .. Of all the words in all the world, God chose love to be the sole definer of who He is. In 1 John 4:8, we're told by the disciple: God is love. Now let me tell you a why. Love envelopes the other words definitive of God's character: holy, righteous, joy and peace, and even judgement. First there was love, the rest fell perfectly into place. .. Understand that love is a relationship word. We can have peace by ourselves, joy by ourselves, but not love. Love requires another. Love indicates two distinct persons, can only be experienced when there are two. Love must have an object in order to be fulfilled, which means God, who is love, made me, made you, so that He would have someone to love. To walk with Christ, to be made new in Him, it is about relationship, a loveship, if you will, with God our Father. I don't know about you, but I sure am glad God made me with loving me on His mind and in His heart.
