About Me
From a young age it was apparent that, Bronx, New York born and raised RAFAEL, had music in his blood. The evidence of his gift of song emerged shortly after he spoke his first words. Beginning at a young age, RAFAEL cultivated his passion for music by participating in school talent shows. As he progressed through school, he was accepted into the Choir Academy of Harlem, home of the internationally recognized Boys Choir of Harlem. This high school provided a comfortable environment for RAFAEL, complete with exceptional academic education as well as the classical training his voice needed to mature. Due to his outstanding performance, RAFAEL was chosen as one of the choirs lead soloist. Through the Boys Choir of Harlem, RAFAEL was blessed with the opportunity to perform while traveling all over the United States, Puerto Rico and Japan.
In 2003, shortly after graduation, RAFAEL came to the attention of Esantis (Paradise) Washington, the CEO of Dise Entertainment. Since hooking up with Dise Entertainment, RAFAEL has been diligently working on his music career, whether it be writing, singing, or performing his own songs. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Donny Hathaway, Otis Redding and many more, RAFAEL hopes his name will soon be added to this list of R&B greats with the release of his debut album this June. Today, you can find RAFAEL living at home with his parents and his four younger siblings, who are his greatest inspirations. His family provides him with the motivation to work hard, with the hope that the success of his career will provide them a more comfortable life.
Now as a humble young man, RAFAEL continues to use music as a tool to better himself as a person and to become the best he can be in life. As his music career progresses, RAFAEL remains humbly grateful to all the people who helped him in to the man that he is now. Most importantly, RAFAEL is thankful to God, for the many blessings he has bestowed upon him.
