ON AND OFF STAGE

About Me

A MySpace BLOGZINE
About music makers and the people that support them.
Not about taste making.
Not about awards ceremonies.
Not about next big things.
Not about twee tabloid indie celebrity back slapping.
Simply, what goes on, ON AND OFF STAGE, with the more interesting / alternative pop stars
WINTER TIPS UPDATE :
Tim Ten Yen : "He's a star without a doubt" - The Fly Magazine
Whiskey Versus Faith, The Veez, Seeing Scarlet, Officer Kicks, Nebraska, Dexy, Blah Blah Blah and Deathline were among the "country's Top 5% of recommended bands" nomimated at this year's Indy Awards
Blah Blah Blah's debut single, Death To The Indie Disco, came out in April and sold out the first day. They've toured with Jack Penate and Lethal Bizzle already this year and been bigged up by The Guardian newspaper
It's appropriate that Deathline have been chosen to play at the otherworldy Second Life festival, there's definitely something surreal about the duo. Keep an eye on their page for news.
Ebony Bones meteoric rise continues, picked up national media and will play at this year's Great Escape and Bestival festivals.
Glamour For Better and Nic Nell are among pioneers doing it for the kids at the RAR! club nights. The 14+ events are one of London's hottest live music tickets.
Seeing Scarlet will also play Escape Festival and William are confirmed for this year's Camden Crawl
Officer Kicks were tipped by Heat Magazine, Morning Star Newspaper, were played by Steve Lamacq on BBC6Music, toured with The Hoosiers and The Script. They play this year's Secret Garden Party and Bestival festivals.

That’s not to say that there aren’t some genuine pin ups among the above, just that not all real stars are household names and not all celebrities are genuine stars.

Also, there's a lot of talent on the underground that belongs on bigger stages.

Oh and by the way, if you missed the rock band, Chet, then commiserations on your loss.
