Too many maniacs, not enough Michelangelos

About Me

"If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth." J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
I'm a vegetarian, a booknerd, I live for cofee and I like to play the cello, paino and bass. *shrug* That's about it.

My Interests

Books, and more books, movies, anime, some video games (mostly old school games or super cheesy ones), soccer, playing cello, piano or bass, acting like a fool with my close personal friends, riding my bike everywhere and sitting around drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes while having completely random or nonsensical conversations.
You Are Bert
Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you loveable - even if you don't love them!

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others The Sesame Street Personality Quiz

I'd like to meet:

People. Preferably living but I'm really not that picky. People who can have a conversation about everything and nothing at the same time. People who speak in metaphors and movie quotes. People who can change my state of mind without the use of illegal substances because just like everything else in this city those have gotten to be tedious and predictable.

Music:

Bad Religion, NOFX, AFI, Alkaline Trio, The Get Up Kids, Taking Back Sunday, Pennywise, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Pepers, No Doubt, Op Ivy, Descendants, Tsunami Bomb, All, Lagwagon, Rise Against, Groovie Ghoulies, Less Than Jake, Saves the Day, At the Drive Inn, Julianna Theory, Armor for Sleep, Death Cab for Cutie, The Violent Femmes, The Beatles, The Ramones, Bridges, Paradigm, Didley Squat.

Movies:

Tarantino, Hitchcock, Kevin Smith and Miyazaki films, plus... Tank Girl (my all time favorite), Almost Famous, Girl Fight, SLC Punk, Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine, Spun, Fight Club, Bend it Like Beckham, Shoalin Soccer, Snatch, The Manchurian Candidate (the old one), Six String Samurai, Tokyo Godfathers, The Princess Bride, I Heart Huckabees, Garden State, Coffee and Cigarettes, there are more but my mind is blank right now.

Television:

Simpsons, Invader Zim, Family Guy, Futurama, Sailor Moon, Lain, Haibane Renmei, FLCL, Cowboy Be Bop, The Super Milk Chan Show, Super Gals, Kids in the Hall, My So Called Life, the only time I watch TV that I don't own on DVD is when there is something cool on PBS or Mythbusters is on.

Books:

I am an english major, I love far too many books. Let's start with authors: Shakespeare, T.C. Boyle, Jasper Fforde, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Neil Stephenson, Daniel Quinn, J.D. Salinger, Orson Scott Card, Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, umm... the list goes on. On top of that I like a lot of the "classic" books, you know the ones that are assigned reading in literature survey courses like Pride and Prejudice, and Great Expectations. Those are all good too. Currently Im reading The End of the Affair and it's really good. Other good books lately are Life of Pi and The Kite Runner, I could go on forever, I give up.
