After many years in the music business, Arnulf Woock, Horst Herold and Jörg Roeber felt it was time to branch out on their own, so they took the initiative and founded their own company: OUR Distribution.OUR Distribution is positioning itself as the supplier of quality electronic music and jazz, both of which have become more and more influential in recent years. However, this doesn’t mean that styles such as HipHop, pop or rock are neglected, with high-end products coming from these areas too. OUR Distribution both a traditional and digital distributor, making use of innovative sales channels such as the Internet in conjunction with cutting-edge marketing and promotion tools.In the German market, OUR Distribution has joined forces with Hamburg distributors Soulfood in the traditional CDs and DVD distribution business. With OUR Distribution taking care of the specialist dealers in the vinyl business and Soulfood looking after the chains, we can achieve optimum product penetration.Furthermore, OUR Distribution is collaborating with the Viennese online company Ordis, headed up by Stephan Dorfmeister, to run its own digital distribution service under the name of ODD (Our Digital Distribution). The advantage for the labels is that they can consolidate their entire distribution activities and avoid losses. In this way, the company can offer the record labels it works with wide-ranging promotional services at attractive rates.In order to market releases in the best possible way, OUR Distribution is working with media such as the lifestyle magazine IQ Style and the music publication Beam Me Up. Thanks to these marketing initiatives and the particular emphasis on service, OUR Distribution offers its labels new ways of developing and marketing its artists’ repertoires as well as real proximity to the customer.The aim of OUR Distribution is to quickly establish ourselves as a key player in Germany and Europe.And don’t forget our motto: OUR music is your music!
