About Me

I'll try to make it brief......;)- There are a few different facets to my musical career. My Original music was born out of learning to play piano by ear, and picking out songs on the radio in highschool. I wrote my first song sometime in the early eighties. I did not sing or play in a band until the summer of 1991, where I joined a band called "The Bad Habbits" and sang and played trumpet and occasionally keys. It was around then that I wrote several more originals, but did not have a place to air them out yet still for years to come. So they sat on a shelf while a "grew up " some more as a musician in working cover bands. My second band was "The KrackerJacks" in north Mississippi also. Then after a year working for Carnival Cruise Lines as a trumpet player, I moved to Ponchatoula, then Hammond, Louisiana where I now live and will probably stay. Joined a band here called "Coffee" where I continued my education in old Soul and Rythm and Blues. Here I met my duo partner Frank Fairbanks, and we've been playing together ever since. Finally now I have my own nights at local bar/resturaunts where I get to play all my favorites, and finally dust off my originals. Soon I'll continue writing again. There's much more to me on the trumpet/french horn side that I'll get into later. I also studied with Clark Terry at the Clark Terry International Institue of Jazz until it's demise in 1997. Enuff for now! -iii-0

Influences: Too many to name, but I'll throw a few out. My favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd. I also love Rush, Yes, Queensryche, King's X, Led Zepplin. I grew up in the 80's so all of that is in there. I am a big fan of Coldplay, A Perfect Circle, Live. Many of my musical friends influence me as well. So many incredible Players/Singers that I've worked with. My jazz heros are a totally different conversation.
