About Me

Only 24 years young, DJ Episode is a veteran of nine years of study, practice and experience. He has worked with many of the greats of yesterday and today. He has paid dues, and now his own thing has blossomed into a very personal, unique style. Episode writes and produces songs of love because that is what he feels he communicates: his love, and judging by the reaction of you; his public, it is felt strongly.
...In the wee small hours of the morning, when the show is over and other musicians come to hear and play with Episode, there is a different kind of sound to Episode's production. It's rhythm and blues, it's free and groovy. In a word, it's soul; and soul is the bag in which Episode and his fellow musicians really play their hearts out, music which isn't really heard anymore in any serious context.
It's all new. New only because this is the first time it's been recorded, the first time the public's heard the soul music musicians play for themselves. Episode presents us with a very new side of his musical talents. Rhythm dominates these sessions sometimes heavy, sometimes light...probably the most undiscovered talent in the world. It's no surprise to the many fans that this great jazz artist would revitalize these beats and traditional elements with the new magnetic sounds that a capable musician like Episode can derive. From the powerful new rhythms and seniorities developed for today's jazz sound he continues to research and comes up with a new musical project each year hoping that with his knowledge he can pass on to the brown man his findings of his true heritage and history.
Episode has the magic know how of blending instruments in his music, you'll become cognizant of a vital intense and enthralling power like no other music you have heard and it all adds up to one important factor. Episode is a man with a genius for sound 360 degrees conductor, player, arranger, composer, producer, B-Boy and most importantly a DJ.
"DJ Episode has the imagination and creative ability to translate the soul and feelings of everyones' life into words and music. We are personally proud of this brilliant young talent." -WES FARRELL
