About Me

I do not believe in people who present themselves as one thing and then prove themselves to be something different. I do not like, nor do I tolerate, people who lie, cheat or steal. Family and friends are extremely important to me and once you've earned a place in my heart, you're there to stay. I've never been afraid to speak up and tell it like it is. I've been told I am very sarcastic, can be very funny, and that I have the ability to see things from all different perspectives. I can, and do, go out of my way to help other people, however, I can be very stand-offish at times too. I have a need to spend time by myself and can become reclusive at times but I also love going out with friends, doing just about anything. I absolutely love to cook, actually it's a passion of mine. I hope to own and operate my own restaraunt some day. I've been in love, a time or two. But the older I get, the more the criteria for the perfect "mate" changes. The ones I've loved helped sculpt me into who I am and I will always hold them close to me. I believe everything happens for a reason, good and bad. I believe if you wrong someone intentionally, it will come back to you. I have a great attention to detail and an interestingly high IQ. I love a good debate, even a good arguement here and there, as long as it doesn't turn into personal attacks. I get along with almost everyone. There's very few things, or people, that I absolutely hate. One of my biggest pet peeves is mis-use of the english language. For the record, it's "supposeDly", not "supposably". I will correct you... We can all claim not to be judgemental, but we all are. I'm picky who I allow in my life, and it's rather hard to impress me. But once you're there, I'd do anything for you... I pride myself on my honesty, so if you're not up for blatant honesty, don't ask me...

My Interests

I love to write, have a great idea for a book, just need to actually sit down and write it! Would love to write a screenplay but I am years away from that. I also love to cook. I plan on owning a restaurant someday, or at least a coffee house or wine bar.

Music:

Love, love, love country music! Blake Shelton, my man... Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss, Brooks& Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Jimmy Buffett... My all time fav voice (not country) Aaron Neville, the man melts me... Also, still love my Metallica, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, STP, Nirvana, 3 Doors Down, AC/DC, James Taylor too... quite a wide array of artists... Love Andrea Buccelli, Pavarotti (like him, can't spell his name tho) And, of course, Ole' Blue Eyes himself... Frank! I will listen to just about any kind of music. Not too fond of rap, but if it's good, it's good....

Movies:

Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors. Anything Jim Carrey, I love it. Some other favs... Interview With The Vampire, Boondock Saints, American History X, American Beauty, The Godfather I, II and III, The Maltese Falcon, A Christmas Story, Good Fellas...Just to name a few...

Television:

Boston Legal, House, Sopranos, yes, American Idol... I love to watch the Discovery Channel and all those surgery before and after shows. Always up for catching a Yankee game on TV since I can't be there. Love football season, Dallas is my team (always was a Cowboy fan, didn't jump on the band wagon in the early 90's).

Books:

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, really great book. Dinner with a Perfect Stranger, by David Gregory, small book but definately worth a read. I tried to read The DaVinci Code but couldn't get into it. Then someone told me what it was about and I decided it was nothing I wanted to read. I have zero interest in reading something like that!

Heroes:

All those who stand in the line of duty and put their lives on the line for us daily. I have the utmost respect for cops, firefighters and military. All our troops, in the US and overseas, fighting to defend our country, our freedoms, our values, our lives. God Bless!
