A. Coleman Greenhaw's fascination with the musical world beganat an early age after winning his first record player during a schoolcarnival. He spent hours dancing to his mother's 7" single of the Eurythmics'"SweetDreams" and was later absorbed by the music of Roger Waters and Jim Morrison. It was in these first moments of intrigue, when a child pieces together a selfrecognition through sound and the physical reaction that follows, that Colemanbegan to understand the fundamental elements of rhythm and dance. Thisconnection reverberated into curiosity and Coleman developed an enduringdesire to be inspired by sound.
His mother's efforts to throw some of the first local raves in the earlynineties initially turned Coleman off to electronic/dance music but wouldultimatelyset the stage for his musical ambitions. Like most teenagers, he wantednothing to do with the activities his parents might be involved in. As he cameofage, however, he and his friends began to experiment more with dance and theysoon discovered rave on their own.
After beginning to dj in 1996, Coleman became known as 'The Goat' for foundingDigital Perceptions and hosting his own Techno Pagan Rituals. At these eventshe began to understand the important relationship between the listener and theperformer and how they interact with one another. Given this platform forexpression, he developed his dj skills in a rare live setting and slowlyfigured out how to expand the boundaries of his music and the crowd'sexpectations.Over the years he has continued to aggrandize his performances and never failsto challenge the crowd both mentally and physically.
