This new record label/digital media site will be an outlet for musical projects that fascinate us.
Our first disc is Dan Trueman 's 5.5 Gardens, a multimedia percussion + guitar + Hardangar fiddle + spoken word + electronics extravaganza. Check it out on our "records" page.
Future projects to include:
* Jason Treuting's Alligator Eats Fish , a series of experiments that grew out of his work on So Percussion 's amid the noise.
* Some "softly sophisticated" (NYTimes' words, not ours) steel drum playing from Josh Quillen, who has been commissioning new pieces for steel pans alone and with other instruments.
* Solo percussion music by David Lang, Scott Lindroth, and others from Adam Sliwinski (if he can ever find any time to practice...)
* A variety of eclectic records by producer, engineer, and percussionist extraordinaire Lawson White.
