Jay Strawter was born in Louisville, KY August 9, 1986. He resides there still to this day. He discovered his love for Rap music at an early age during his elementary school years. He played around with beats and rhymes just for fun at first because at the time his priority was the streets. His father was rarely ever around to show him how to be a man so he used the streets as his guide. While he never really got into too much trouble, he realized that slanging drugs and roaming free with no discipline was a lifestyle that would soon bring about his downfall. In 2007 he chose Rap as his outlet and began to take it very seriously...Jay decided to make Rap his career. Since then Jay Strawter has been doing show's for Louisville club's such as, Club Crunk (2),Villa Fontana(1), a number of house party's as well as out of town shows. He headlined his first tour in 2007 "The Showtyme Showcase Tour" and Dj'd for Shawnee High School's graduation, Shawnee High School's Home Coming, and Dixie Bowl 2120 Spot. Jay has also been a house Dj at "Club Bentley's II". Jay Strawter has worked with some of the best like: Hurricane, Big Dre, Dj B Real, Dj Infamous One, Stook, Dj Testarosa, DJ DCeezy , Sista D and Twanne Baby. He has also gained much respect and built relationships with some of the games best like: Bengie B, Cognito, T-Bo, Gangsta, Tank, artists on Master P's Label (Guttar Music Ent), B.O.B (Atlantic Records), Street Runnaz Click, Lil Whyte (Hypnotize Minds LLC.),Dj Scrap (Louisiana 1 Dj),"O" (A&R Slip N Slide Record), Natural (Rep. Koch Ent./Sony Music Group/Doggie Style Records) an many others. Jay Strawter is looking to break records and make instant classics, first by finishing his album, then promoting the album and doing show's to showcase his talent and skills as one of the best artist out! At the end of the day he says the most important thing for him once he reaches his goal in the game, is always represent and never forget where he came from "Louisville, Ky."
