About Me

Hi, I'm Lori. I'm always looking for fun and creative people to collaborate with so if you'd like to make some music, send me a message! The songs on my page were either written by me or friends of mine and were recorded in garages, makeshift studios and colleges across Massachusetts.
I spent 2 years in a band called Ivy Hill, playing every venue imaginable- north and south of Boston as well as in NH & ME.
I'm a self-taught pianist and hate music theory with a passion. In college, I was a music major for about 3.57 seconds and quickly realized that going to school for music was not for me (I drew pictures of bunny rabbits on my music theory evalution test.) Instead, I got a degree in Philosophy and Communications, am working towards my Masters in Marketing Communications at Emerson College and play music just for the love of it.
You could say I've been singing since birth; I've been in school choirs, musicals and could often be found in front of the mirror singing into a hairbrush at 3am.
Music has always been an important influence in my life. Sadly, the schools that fostered my love of music and art are having their funding cut dramatically. That is why I started Cavata Clothing Co., a clothing line all about the arts that donates 10% of each purchase to public schools and non-profits in need of funding for music and art education programs.
