I've had a guitar around me for as long as I can remember. I had an electric guitar and an amp my Father built for me before I knew how to play. Finally started lessons in '74 in a class of about seven or eight people. One of the teacher's people apparently noticed a gleam in my eye or something that told them I really wanted to learn how to play and took me on as a private student. Mr. Pat Christy got me away from "Micheal Row Your Boat Ashore" and started me on things like "Jumping Jack Flash". Another fellow, Mr. Tony Wrenn jumped in and showed me some things, and between the two of them, I am what I am today! I'm grateful to both of them forever! So, after about six years of guitar, I ran into a situation where some folks needed a bass player and I said, "Hey, I'll do it". So began my bass career. Within a few months I joined Stargate and started making money! Next up was Danger which led to Persuasion and my Ramada Inn Lounge Lizard life! Spent about two years running up and down the east coast with that one. Also met my lovely wife, Kim while doing that. We've pretty much done everything together since then, including Seph & the Sifters, Bobby Z and the Impalas, Individually Twisted, and Barefoot Blue. I've done a couple of things without Kim, Kid Leer was an original hard rock band geared for the big rock clubs at the time (The Switch, Roadies, The Attic, etc). And I currently play with Lies & Promises, a rock cover band. I also spent a couple of years playing bass with Cool John Ferguson (if you have never heard of him, find him, this man will melt your shoes off)! So anyway, I try to keep a band going where I play guitar or bass so I don't get too rusty, and right now I've got Individually Twisted where I play guitar, Lies & Promises where I play Bass, and Barefoot Blue where I play both.
