About Me

It started out as violent waves crushing the jagged rocks of the shore. It developed into a tsunami that enveloped us all. It was a bloody Christmas where my life changed forever. A kid who thought of Christmas trees that rose to the ceiling, with gifts of Santa Claus littering the ground, brightly colored array of lights greeting him with warmth, the midnight mass that welcome the fresh breeze of December, was jarred by the shattered pieces of what he called “family” he was bleeding, red blood was all over, but nobody seemed to notice, nobody seemed to care the war continued to rage, and he died, he died over and over again.Just like a green moss over a stone or mangroves in a salty marsh this kid formed his roots, and began to grow. With birds by his stem and leaves, he developed bonds chains that were not shackles, but were simply comfort. Green chlorophyll started to pump in his veins And everything was green and gay again. The sun was shining brightly, with its corona of blinding light his bird companions twittering their heavenly tune, it was calming, it was soothing, it was recuperating he was a Lazarus, yet not for long... He was ripped from this utopia into a world of pain, it wasn’t the land of milk and honey as many would say... But maybe it is... Canaan wasn’t really that accommodating.***In the deep recess and darkness of my luggage, the light of my so-called life resides. Bright, clear, crisp— yet black, it never fails to bring back memories from the past It voices my longing it shouts my want I hear the laughter of my youth as I gaze into its black face. I can’t wait for the day that I will live again The joy, the fun, the happiness The contentment.
