About Me

"Kasper Rosa are making their own brand of unique music that sends you on a rather deep and dark path. The word apocalyptic keeps popping up to describe these guys and after listening to their EP you can tell why. This debut EP took me on a bizarre journey, in which i wanted to pull apart cars with my bare hands... but then hold them close and hug the twisted metal until it had forgiven me."
Richard W. Crothers
"At a first glance, you would be forgiven for mistaking Kasper Rosa for mere hitch-hikers on the respective bandwagons of And So I Watch You From Afar or Explosions in the Sky, but upon scratching the surface and looking a little deeper, things aren't so simple. Yes, some of the same elements are there, but Kasper Rosa bring something new to the mix. The arrangements within the songs and the way they flow together are more reminiscent of Godspeed! You Black Emperor or Japan's Mono. Look deeper still and you could draw parallels with ambient electronica, in particular Casino Versus Japan or Boards of Canada. What binds it all together is an ability to take you on a journey, leading you through an imagined space inside your head, built from sound. Each time you listen it will be a little different, giving Kasper Rosa a unique staying power that a lot of local bands simply do not possess. Their future is bright. A blank canvas inside each of our heads is waiting for the artist's touch, and I for one can't wait see where this band will take me next. I strongly advise you to buy this EP. Your brain will thank you."
