Did somebody say this was supposed to be an "About Me" section? Oh yeah, I think they did. Well, on with that!I'm Carl, and I live in the Downriver Area. Melvindale to be exact, but who really knows where that place is if they don't live there? I'm a multitalented guy who loves photography, art, drawing, painting (both house painting and painting pictures!), and playing some bass. One of these days I swear, I'll be getting myself a very FINE Gibson SG bass, but until then, my musical development relies on borrowed instruments. I'm also a sucker for computers and anything technical, but I really can't stand the 'geekiness' label some people put on it. I like to think of it more like the guys who tweak up and hot rod cars. I mean, hell, cars are mainly used for transportation the same way that computers are mainly used for getting a little work done, but that doesn't mean either one needs to be relegated to being blase and boring.
Same goes for food. Others might be satisfied with something kinda plain, but not me. I love to cook, and really work on making that meal that everybody will love. I enjoy mixing flavors, herbs, spices, trying new things in the kitchen, even mixing things nobody would imagine until they've tasted it and I've won them over.
I've got a lot of friends and even if I'm not able to see some of them as much as I'd really like to, I like to get out and do things with them as much as possible. I keep myself in shape by working out regularly at the YMCA in Southgate, I enjoy swimming, biking, camping, kayaking, and just about anything in the wild outdoors. LOVE concerts and art and music festivals, especially in Downtown Detroit. Cedar Point's one of my fave summer time destinations as I'm a rollercoaster junkie and as much as I've been thinking of checking out some other parks at some point, I just can't get enough of the ones I've been riding for so long. But even with all this excitement, a guy has got to unwind sometimes. For that, I like to hit up a nice local coffee shop. Almost never Starbucks. Not that I'm totally opposed to the place, but there's just other places I like better. Besides that, I'm also a gamer. My favorites being the Guitar Hero series. (As if my name didn't already tell you!)
