OBEY / KILLTEAM - Death/Grind/Hc Metal

About Me

The band started shortly after the breakup of the black metal band Equinox in late 1987, early beginning of 1988. The band was called Distraught in the beginning, and made a four track demo in summer of´88 under that name, but the sound was awful, so it was never for sale. The band was back then Satanic Tony - Vocals and guitar, Bosse - Drums and Bullf@n - Bass under this period. Under summer in 1988 the band made their first gig with Slow Death (thrash metal) in Sala. Later same year, more demos was made and Evil Nisse joined the band same year too. Now was the setup Satanic Tony - Drums and vocals, Evil Nisse - Guitar, Bosse - Bass and Bullf@n on guitar. The band changed the name into Obey in ´88, more recordings was made, but just in training room. In 1989 the band started to record a new demo in the studio, but this time it was time again to change the name. So the demo was made in the summer of ´89 under the name Killteam. Same year a gig was made in Västerås city at the Sigma torget, probably was not so popular I can think. Short after the demo and the gig, Johnny Pzycho joined the band on vocals. The band played together just a short time with this setup. Sadly but true the time was short for the band, later same year the band splitted up. Bosse left the band and also Evil Nisse. Some months went on and the three left in the band, Satanic Tony, Johnny Pzycho and Bullf@n continued with the band Corpestor instead, but the band was just a fun project. Some songs from Obey/Killteam time lived on in Corpestor and a gig was done in early 1990. But that band was never a serious band so all ran out in the sand in early 1990. See this page as a history of a band that reached to far in become legendary and cult. But watch out, some day in time the history can continue...Grind ya to hell!!!RELEASES :DISTRAUGHT - Demo (1988) OBEY - Masters of evil (1988) OBEY - Live in Sala (1988) OBEY - Magic of dreams (88-89) - First one with Evil Nizze!
