Music.

About.

eXelement merges three musical genres into an explosive new form of music loaded with thumping basslines, destructive beats, and engaging melodies.

Inspired by artists such as 16 Volt, Boom Boom Satellites, Black Sun Empire, and Nine Inch Nails, eXelement creates an aggressive blend of Industrial, Rock, and Drum and Bass music. The result is intense yet well-balanced: layers of passionate lyrics, sweeping pads, buzzing synth leads, heavy guitar, and driving bass. eXelement’s innovative musical style appeals to many different groups of people, from mainstream Rock fans to underground Industrial and Drum and Bass followers. In addition to transcending categorization, eXelement provides listeners with something they can relate to by writing lyrics about personal feelings and experiences. When fans listen to eXelement, they don’t just hear the type of music they identify with or enjoy the most; they experience music that is inspirational and exciting.

Inspiration for eXelement’s distinctive sound originates from the band’s primary creative force, Dan Element. Eleven years of musical experience and a commitment to precision allow Dan to produce dance-floor-quality, hard-hitting music from a highly technical approach. Dan’s other musical projects, which include numerous live performances and a compilation release under the name Phenotype, have given him the ability to develop a unique stage presence, comfortableness with live performance, and knowledge of the musical industry. Dan also utilizes his skills in graphic design and photography to create eXelement’s artwork, web content, and promotional materials.

Recent.

Over the last few months I had assembled a live band and we began rehearsing so that we could bring eXelement to the stage. During the course of rehearsing we all realized that we had a lot of potential beyond just playing the music I wrote and we began writing new material. We then decided that the new music no longer reflected what I wanted to accomplish with eXelement so we've decided to go by the name Civility of Enemies. eXelement is still alive and well and for the time being will go back to being a solo endeavor.
