THE MISSION
New York City is home to some of the Music Industries greatest stars and biggest legends. Jonathan Levant, a humble young man from Brooklyn would love to one day be mentioned in the same sentence as a "Music Legend". We think he'll get his chance!! Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jonathan moved around the Borough 12 times before finally settling in the infamous neighborhood of BedStuy, at age 15. Although naturally shy and introverted, nothing could keep jonathan from his “true loveâ€â€¦music.
THE LIFE
Jonathan discovered his voice at age 7, while singing along to the famous Jackson 5 record, “Rockin’ Robinâ€. Harmonizing with the legendary brothers and singing along note for note with Michael came surprisingly easy. After this life changing event Jonathan formed an undeniable friend and comfort in music. Constantly trying to raise the bar, 10 year old Jonathan Levant taught himself to play the piano. After listening to her son constantly “playing by ear†on his keyboard while singing famous songs the superstar’s mother, Randi, took action. Over the years he was entered in 2 non-profit reparatory theatre companies, and Jonathan was blessed to be able to attend a talent based high school. During his 4 year tenure at Talent Unlimited High School, the young crooner was able to develop his piano and music skills while participating in music theory classes, choir and talent showcases, where he was a breakout star! Not only is he an accomplished self-taught piano/keyboard player, but the star can also hold a note on the guitar and keep up on the drums. Boasting a 3 octave vocal range, (not many male vocalists can compete with) Jonathan currently participates in daily vocal training classes to gain a stronger grasp on his skill. In 2006 the young superstar was given the honor to play keyboard at VH1’s Annual “Save the Music Fund raiser†and has opened for multi-platinum recording artists DMX and Ciara. Among his list of accolades, Jonathan would love to create a legend of his own. Passion, determination and skill are this kid’s recipe to make it, and we believe him!
