a.k.a. Thaddeus Mace Wike.
I live for love, life, art, music, and the vast unordinary.
Life is short. No time to waste!.. MUST HAVE SLACK!
Born to mutate the system. From here & there.
WORK:Â (is great IF you) Drill
your own hole.
I worked for "the man" for over a decade printing (cheesy) t shirts,
while learning everything I could about the business. Then I broke away. Anticonformity
is my custom screen printing shop. I've been serving mostly bands and artists
for 6 years+ now. I have made many
great friends through it AND I really love the art and craft of my trade and
feel so very blessed to be my own boss in this troubled
economy where my peers seem to be falling among the wayside of the growing
unemployed population on a weekly basis. I have grand visions of a suce$$ful t
shirt empire/ remote coastal farming commune where all my friends will dance and
make art and music and t shirts and food and love ALL DAY LONG, complete with
traveling rock & roll sideshow act (FOS?). Yeah, just like fukin
gypsies! Gypsies of radness. Are you in? Drill your own hole!  Â
MUSIC:Â I dig (almost) all kinds.
I blast sound waves too.
I'm currently working on:
t he ALL NEW (RE)MODULATION of NO RIDERS
- Now my one-man-art-band performance mind-mold project. I've
ALWAYS wanted to travel and tour music around the US. Sadly, not one of
the many bands I've been in over the past 16 years has managed to get out of
Phoenix for more than one show. That's not touring. NO RIDERS is my last
(or at least most logical) resort. Life is too short and I need to take that
long ride before it's too late.  So, NO RIDERS - SUMMER 09 - WEST
COAST TOUR - This you can bet on!!  ...some past bands, over the years,
include: SPACE RIG ,
AfterBastard, Guano, A Feast Unknown
and most recently, The Amputations .Â
ART:Â My art sucks, but making it SETS ME
FREE!
Making "art" is meditation for me, so time must be
MADE and religiously set
aside. And then attending the burning man festivals has really sliced me wide
open artistically. The event, as well as the BM community is like inspiration
feeding upon inspiration for me. ** see under religion**. Â
RIGHT NOW I am working on a multitude of different pieces and projects-Â
painting, sketching, sculpting, seeking... My one more noteworthy current
project is called "Accumulo sapien" a.k.a. PHILIP TARKAP - a life-size
man built completely of found/used objects from dead VCRs to broken guitars to
hundreds of other various pieces (all personal to me for various reasons) all
inspired from my last 23 years of packratting. He will be eventually
completely wired with lights and sound and weatherproofed to be listed and
placed on the playa at this years burning man in September. I plan on posting
many pictures of his progression (through EVOLUTION) on here, so go make
yourself a sandwich or something healthy and stand by.....Art rules. Me at
least. Also coming soon: "The Anticonformity Artist
Alliance" - I will be trying my professional hand as a traveling art agent.
To provoke and then promote the art of all my (more talented) artist friends. My
mission is to spread "local" art to non-local cities and potential
buyers working on a one-on-one basis. And to work with galleries all over
hustling product and organizing group shows etc., all to correlate with my
upcoming travels / NR tours.Â
RELIGION:Â Is for suckers. Like me.
QUIT YOUR JOB FOR "BOB"!!!
Mine is Slack. Yes, I Praise "BOB"!!! And so can YOU!! Find out more at The
Church of the Subgenius . I highly recommend it!! ** And then
there's burning man.** If you get me started talking about the playa
(especially to those who are virgins) I really start sounding like some kind
of born-again Christian Cult recruiter!! Â
SMALL CREATURES:Â Love those crazy little bastards!
I am the current chosen hairless master to my favorite little friends, Brucifer, Buddha, Fiona,
Farrah, Annabelle, and Tashio.
R.I.P. Mr. Furley, Franky, BoBo, and all the rest...
When I was 3 I tried to smuggle a black and white tv from my parents room one morning to see this show without bothering them, only to drop it on my own head. After being rushed to the hospital and getting 5 stitches to my left eyebrow (the scar remains) I got to watch it in color on the big hospital waiting room tv. I was stoked!!! Upon 2nd look the show kinda sucks, but lesson learned!! Please never don't try and you may not never succeed. Thank You Sid & Marty!!!
